Fox crowd cheers BIG when Trump refuses to back down on ‘tough’ rhetoric

President Donald Trump drew applause and support from Thursday night’s Fox News town hall crowd when he defended his method of fighting back against the media and his political opponents.

The president doubled down on his history of using “tough” rhetoric after Fox host Sean Hannity shared that some people thought Trump needed to tone down his approach.

Trump responded, “If I wasn’t tough, I wouldn’t be here right now. I guarantee you that. If I didn’t fight back, I wouldn’t be here.”

The crowd cheered and applauded.

The president was initially greeted with enthusiasm by the Fox News studio audience when he took the stage with Hannity. During commercial break, Trump spokesperson Steven Cheung shared video of the crowd erupting into a “We love Trump” chant.

Trump also touched on the chilling issue of nuclear weapons, commenting that the state of unrest on the global stage was making it a “the most serious time and the most dangerous time right now in the history of our country.”

He listed off the countries equipped with nuclear firepower, including North Korea, Russia, and soon, Iran. “That should have never happened,” he remarked.

Thursday’s town hall was the cherry on top of a busy two days of campaigning in the great state of Iowa for Trump and his team.

As previously reported by RSBN, Trump traveled to Iowa on Wednesday and Thursday, appearing for an in-studio interview on 1040 WHO with Simon Conway to kick things off. He also spoke to the Westside Conservative Club at the Machine Shed, a popular eatery in the Des Moines area.

The president additionally thrilled supporters when he made a surprise visit to a Team Trump volunteer leadership training event in the Des Moines vicinity, delivering off-the-cuff remarks and taking questions from the crowd.

He told Iowans, “We’re going to win. We’re going to win bigger than ever before.”
