Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard is shaking things up at the National Intelligence Council (NIC).
According to Fox News, she has not only fired the acting chair of the NIC, Mike Collins, and his deputy, Maria Langan-Riekhof, but she is also moving the NIC away from the CIA to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
Fox News reported that this is an attempt to “directly hold accountable any improper action and politicization of intelligence.”
The action comes amid Gabbard’s plan to remove “deep state holdovers,” as Collins was described by whistleblowers to be “radically” anti-Trump with plans to oppose the newly elected administration.
Moving the NIC away from the CIA is expected to improve the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) and afford Gabbard better oversight to “weed out and fire” deep state saboteurs.
Under Gabbard’s direction, the NIC has accomplished multiple America First tasks within President Trump’s first 100 days in office.
According to a May ODNI press release, Gabbard eliminated divisive Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion policies designed to focus on individuals’ identity over ability. She also closed the wasteful Human Capital Office, “NSA sex chats” and revoked security clearances from questionable politicians, including former President Joe Biden, former Vice President Kamala Harris, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and former Wyoming Republican Rep. Liz Cheney.
Gabbard continues her mission to stop leaks of classified information and ensure that the ODNI is focused on employing trustworthy professionals with proven merits to support President Trump’s plan to put America First.
