A new poll released by Emerson College Polling shows Republican candidate for U.S. Senate Herschel Walker gaining a wider lead over Sen. Raphael Warnock, D-Ga., ahead of the midterm elections.
According to Emerson College Polling, Walker holds 49 percent of likely voters over Warnock’s 45 percent. Additionally, 6 percent of likely voters remained undecided.
Walker has the key endorsement of President Donald Trump, which has established him as the Republican favorite and frontrunner in the upcoming Georgia election. His campaign has managed to gain enough momentum to raise over $10 million in funds for his race.
Walker was up three percentage points over Warnock in the polls in January. Since that time, Democrats have embarked on a mission to destroy Walker’s reputation and educational background. However, the Trump-endorsed Republican candidate has increased his lead over Warnock, despite attacks from the liberal media.
Georgia has received nationwide attention in recent months as the state has been at the center of voter fraud investigations and election reform bills. It is viewed as a must-win state by both Republicans and Democrats in the 2022 midterm elections.
Republicans are hopeful as Walker has proven to be a strong America First candidate and is expected to pose a serious challenge to Warnock in November.
In an enthusiastic endorsement of the NFL legend, Trump said, “Herschel Walker will never let you down. He was a great football player, and will be an even better U.S. Senator – if that’s even possible! He has my Complete and Total endorsement!”
