Herschel Walker’s campaign raises $10 million in five months

Herschel Walker’s campaign for U.S. Senate announced that he raised nearly $10 million between August and the end of 2021.

Walker said in a press release, “Though I have been blessed with many amazing opportunities, running for U.S. Senate to represent my home state is the greatest honor and privilege of my life.” He added, “We could not do it without your help and are looking forward to winning the primary in May and the general election in November.”

Walker, former NFL star and Heisman Trophy winner, is expected to be the heavy favorite in the GOP primary for Georgia’s Senate seat currently held by Democrat Sen. Raphael Warnock. Georgia Republicans have confidence that Walker can retake the Senate seat that was lost last year, when Warnock narrowly defeated former Sen. Kelly Loeffler in a runoff election.

Hershel Walker was endorsed by President Donald Trump in September, giving him a distinct advantage over other potential Republican candidates. Within the first five weeks of his campaign, Walker also raised an incredible $3.7 million. Walker’s campaign has been very successful, as voters seek to elect senators who will create change in Washington.

Walker is an outspoken critic of the Biden administration and has used his campaign to warn Americans of the dangers of social spending policies in the United States. In a video, Walker warned, “Socialism has never worked in any country. We have to educate ourselves about the dangers of these policies and STAND UP for our freedoms which make America so great!!”

As the 2022 midterms come into view, the Senate race in Georgia will play a major role in determining whether the Republican party can retake the Senate. Walker believes that Georgia will be the next to experience a major “red wave” after the Republican success in the 2021 election cycle. In an interview with Breitbart News, Walker said that “Georgia is next because I’m running.”

Walker’s major fundraising success and his endorsement by President Trump should give his campaign the support it needs to win the GOP primary and challenge Warnock. However, defeating Warnock will be a significant challenge, as Newsmax reports the senator has set records for fundraising.
