House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., confirmed that he would be willing to subpoena Hunter Biden again, pointing to a report from an outlet on the issue.

He wrote on X, “The Committees welcome Mr. Biden’s newfound willingness to testify in a deposition setting under subpoena. Our willingness to issue these subpoenas is rooted entirely in our interest in obtaining Hunter Biden’s testimony as expeditiously as possible.”

According to Fox News, Rep. Comer and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, have indicated they would be willing to subpoena Hunter Biden for a second time, following Mr. Biden’s refusal to comply with a previous deposition.

Biden’s actions in relation to Congress have caused high-profile attention to be cast on his situation, especially in light of last week’s event in the Rayburn House Office Building hearing room.

As reported by RSBN, Hunter Biden entered the room to a contempt hearing, sat down, and then abruptly exited before Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., could ask him any questions.

Rep. Greene wrote on X later, “Hunter Biden ran scared from me last week during a hearing to hold him in contempt. Hunter is desperate to cover up his involvement in Biden family corruption. We have evidence of money laundering, bribery, and more. It’s no wonder Hunter ran away – he’s guilty as sin!”

Following this event, the House Oversight Committee found Biden in contempt of court, with Chairman Comer stating, “Today, he came here. He sat on the front row on the day we voted to hold him in contempt. He didn’t bother to tell anyone he was coming or try to work with us on a date for a deposition.”

Per Fox, Biden’s attorney Abby Lowell stated in a letter to the committee chairs, “If you issue a new proper subpoena, now that there is a duly authorized impeachment inquiry, Mr. Biden will comply for a hearing or deposition. We will accept such a subpoena on Mr. Biden’s behalf.”
