In a win for proponents of medical freedom, the new Republican majority in the House of Representatives is poised to repeal the hotly contested military mandate on the Covid vaccine.

According to News Nation, the mandate will slowly be phased out based on a draft of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which is set to be voted on as early as this week.

“HUGE WIN,” the House Judiciary GOP wrote on Twitter. “The #COVID19 mandate is OUT of the NDAA for our troops!”
However, Senate Democrats are not as keen to vote on supporting the bill introduced by House Republicans, and it will face a battle in the upper chamber.

Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan (R) celebrated the potential victory for American choice on Twitter. “Democrats kicked soldiers, sailors, and airmen out of the military because of the #COVID19 vaccine,” he wrote. “Republicans fought back. And now the vaccine mandate is set to be rescinded in the NDAA. Freedom!”

Pages 407 and 408 of the mammoth bill (Sec. 525) were inserted into the text, citing, “Recession of Covid-19 vaccination mandate.”

The bill continued, “Not later than 30 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense shall rescind the mandate that members of the Armed Forces be vaccinated against COVID-19 pursuant to the memorandum dated August 24, 2021, regarding ‘’Mandatory Coronavirus Disease 2019 Vaccination of Department of Defense Service Members.'”

President Trump has routinely spoken against Biden’s move to mandate the Covid vaccine in general. In a 2021 interview with RSBN, Trump noted, “The mandates are really very harmful for our country and you see what’s happening with all of the things having to do with business, people are mandated and not able to go work, even if they want to…the mandates are a disaster.”
