The hardworking people of Iowa are all in for President Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign, according to new GOP polling.

Per National Research, Iowans believe that Trump is the best candidate when it comes to improving the economy, preferring the 45th president by 57 percent against Gov. Ron DeSantis’s 15 percent.

Iowan’s preference fo who could best lead on the economy demonstrates a staggering 42-point gap between the two presidential candidates.

Another new poll from Emerson College has found that Trump has a firm command of the field in Iowa ahead of next year’s caucuses. According to Axios, their data found that Trump leads DeSantis at 62 percent against 20 percent among GOP voters, again illustrating a 42-point gap between the two men.

Via Axios: “For all the attention paid to national polls, it’s the early-state contests that matter most. But there’s no sign that Trump is any more vulnerable in these early contests, where his opponents have spent much time campaigning but have struggled to build momentum.”

Via FiveThirtyEight polling, Trump is also leading in Iowa in virtually every survey. For example, the most recent May polls revealed the following data in the state:

  • McLaughlin & Associates: Trump (50 percent), DeSantis (24 percent),
  • National Research: Trump (44 percent), DeSantis (26 percent).

Trump recently spent two days this week on the campaign trail in Iowa, visiting with voters and Team Trump volunteers. During a surprise appearance at a Team Trump volunteer training event, the president shared remarks with supporters and answered questions for over 30 minutes.

“I just want to thank the people in this room – you’ve been very special,” he said.

The president also made an appearance on Fox News’ town hall event with Sean Hannity, where the studio audience greeted Trump with cheers and applause. Trump spokesperson Steven Cheung also revealed that the audience broke out into chants of “We love Trump” during a commercial break.
