Kari Lake: Democrats don’t need ‘quality candidates’ because ‘they’re rigging elections’

Conservative supernova Kari Lake hit on a few common sense points during a conversation on Newsmax’s “The Balance,” addressing the poor quality of Democrat candidates.

“You know, obviously the Democrats don’t care about quality candidates. They’ve got Basement Joe and Cackling Kamala – and they don’t have to care when they’re rigging elections. And you know how I feel about the integrity of our elections, and we’ve got to improve on that.”

Lake, who ran for the GOP governorship of Arizona, was a wildly popular candidate in the Grand Canyon State. She was endorsed by President Donald Trump in 2021 and supposedly “lost” to opponent and Democrat Secretary of State Katie Hobbs after a chaotic Election Day in 2022.

Following countless reports of widespread election irregularities, tabulator problems, and voter disenfranchisement in Maricopa County, Lake brought a lawsuit against Maricopa County election officials and Hobbs herself.

In March, the Arizona State Supreme Court agreed to expedite the hearing for Kari Lake’s lawsuit. It is slated to be heard on March 21 at an internal conference, as reported by RSBN.

“When you apply the law, we believe we will get a ruling in our favor,” she told RSBN’s Brian Glenn.

Lake has risen to national political superstardom since running an effective political campaign in Arizona. Last week, she delivered an anticipated speech at the Ronald Reagan Dinner during CPAC’s 2023 meeting in Washington, D.C.

In fact, Lake shone brightly in the 2023 CPAC straw poll, garnering 20 percent of GOP support in a potential 2024 primary race as a hypothetical vice presidential candidate for President Donald Trump. Governor Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., trailed behind Lake with 14 percent of voters’ support.

In response to the suggestion that she could be “in that seat” of the vice presidency in just “a short period of time,” Lake said during her Newsmax interview, “Well, I don’t know that that’s true, what you said about me being in that seat. I’m hoping to be in the governor’s office here in Arizona. But Kamala Harris has been a disaster.”
