Republican gubernatorial nominee Kari Lake is building on her campaign’s momentum in Arizona by launching her “Ask Me Anything” tour across the state.

Despite the refusal of her Democrat opponent, Katie Hobbs, to debate Lake on stage and appear before the people of Arizona, Lake continues to travel across the state and connect with the people she is running to represent.

“I’m not going to hide from the voters,” Lake said. Hinting at her opponent’s lack of transparency, Lake added, “I’m not going to shy away from the tough questions.”

Hobbs again refused to answer questions at a Monday campaign event, highlighting a sharp contrast between the two candidates.

Echoing recent comments she made at a gubernatorial candidate forum, Lake told the people of Arizona, “I am applying for a job & you are the hiring manager.”

Throughout her campaign, Lake has emphasized that Arizonans have a right to know the platforms and plans of both candidates. As a result, she encourages people to approach her and ask her questions, even if they do not support her platform.

In a tweet, Lake wrote, “Hate me? Skeptical of me? No problem. Come tell me. I’ll answer anything on my ‘Ask Me Anything’ tour. Coming to a town near YOU!”

Slamming her opponent’s refusal to debate, Lake explained, “My opponent Katie Hobbs’ strategy is to hide from me, hide from the media, and hide from you, the voter.”

On the other hand, Lake described her “Ask Me Anything” tour as her “job interview” for the position of Arizona’s governor. “Since Katie Hobbs won’t debate me, I decided to launch this tour,” she said. “I look forward to answering all your questions.”
