Republicans in Wisconsin are recruiting and training poll watchers to help ensure election integrity and to ease concerns many GOP voters have going into November’s midterm election in the Badger State.

Just the News reported, “Republicans in Wisconsin are recruiting poll watchers to monitor voting in November, as the GOP embarks on a multimillion-dollar effort to recruit tens-of-thousands of poll watchers and workers to monitor voting.”

The Republican National Committee has stepped up efforts to ensure a fair election process by launching a multimillion-dollar initiative, including hiring dozens of full-time staffers to monitor voting.

The Wall Street Journal reported, “Many Republican voters are heading into the midterms still skeptical about the results of the 2020 election, and the Republican Party is encouraging them to channel those concerns into activism by volunteering to monitor the polls.”

The local Republican Party in Brown County, Wisconsin—home of the city of Green Bay— announced that they have recruited over 100 poll watchers and are continuing to recruit more volunteers.

The city of Green Bay has been maligned by conservatives for accepting funds from an organization funded by Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg during the 2020 election.

Former Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Michael Gableman has been leading a review of the 2020 election and has claimed Zuckerberg spent millions of dollars on local Wisconsin election offices—including in Green Bay— with the goal of defeating President Donald Trump.

Gableman said, “It’s very clear that Mark Zuckerberg’s goal was to defeat Donald Trump and elect Joe Biden. He poured $8.8 million into Democrat cities in Wisconsin and in the guise of ‘Covid safety.’”

Wisconsin has been the source of many controversies surrounding the state’s conduct during the 2020 election.

The GOP is hoping that by recruiting poll watchers, their voters’ fears will be assuaged and that Wisconsin will help lead a red wave in November.
