The Trump camp hit back on Friday against Hillary Clinton’s cutting comments that MAGA supporters should be subjected to “formal deprogramming” during an interview on CNN with Christiane Amanpour.

MAGA Inc. spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt slammed Clinton’s comments in a statement, rejecting the former secretary of state’s harsh remarks.

She said, “President Trump has said countless times that they are only coming after him, because he stands in their way from coming after you — and Hillary Clinton just confirmed that to be true. Tens of millions of Americans will reject the Democrat Party’s re-education camp agenda in November 2024 when we make Donald Trump the 47th President of the United States.”

As reported by RSBN, Clinton came after Trump supporters in her interview with CNN, accusing them of extremism and succumbing to “wagging the dog” tactics.

Clinton said, “When do they break with him [Trump]? Because at some point, maybe there needs to be a formal deprogramming of the cult members. But something needs to happen.”

Trump ally Kari Lake strongly responded to Hillary Clinton’s statement, writing on X, “MAGA aren’t domestic extremists. We’re not Deplorables. We’re hard working Americans who want what’s best for our country, and our families. The @DNC’s constant demonization of our movement shows that they know they can’t win elections through ideas. Only through fear.”

Some have postulated that Clinton may once again be aiming to run for the White House in 2024 despite losing to Trump in 2016. However, this is just speculation. At this time, Joe Biden is expected to face off against Trump in the general election, following the 45th president’s likely win of the Republican primary nomination.

Right now, President Trump is dominating the GOP presidential primary polls and leading substantially in general election polling, as well. A new national poll from Premise, for example, showed that Trump was leading Biden by ten points in a general election, marking the second time in just a few weeks that Trump has been up over Biden by double digits in a 2024 poll.

He also won a ten-point advantage over Biden in a recent Washington Post/ABC poll.
