President Trump’s MAGA Inc., responded to the news that Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., had filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) on Friday, indicating his likely imminent intent to run for the office of the presidency in 2024.
CEO of MAGA Inc., Taylor Budowich, stated, “Ron DeSantis’ failed shadow campaign has opened the flood gates for career politicians looking to seize an opportunity to raise their profile ahead of the 2028 race. Tim Scott’s entrance, and aggressive media purchase, doesn’t only kneecap DeSantis, but Scott sees the same thing as Youngkin, Sununu, Burgum, Christie, and others: the path to 2nd place is wide open.”
According to the Washington Examiner, Sen. Scott is expected to make an announcement regarding his potential 2024 presidential candidacy next week, when he is poised to run $6 million in advertising in Iowa and South Carolina.
MAGA Inc. highlighted four major bullet points that “conservatives need to know about Tim Scott” amid news of the senator’s likely presidential bid:
- “In May 2022, after $54 billion was sent to Ukraine, Sen. Scott said Biden had provided them with ‘too little support,’
- In 2021, Scott delivered the Republican response to Joe Biden’s State of the Union. At the time of this speech, drugs and illegal immigrants were pouring across Biden’s open border. Tim Scott failed to mention the border crisis or immigration during his State of the Union response,
- Scott opposed President Trump’s America First foreign policy. In February 2019, he voted to disapprove of President Trump’s plan to withdraw troops from Afghanistan and Syria,
- Scott voted to confirm Janet Yellen as Treasury Secretary, who then facilitated Biden’s lies to cover up his inflationary spending destroying our economy–remember inflation is only ‘transitory?’”
President Trump is the frontrunner for the 2024 GOP nomination in the primary political polls so far. As reported by RSBN, Trump is leading by a staggering 45 points in the latest Rasmussen poll that surveyed 2024 GOP primary voters.
Sen. Scott’s likely presidential bid is poised to coincide with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’s (R) 2024 campaign, which is rumored to kick off next week.
