During his Time Magazine Person of the Year interview, President Trump discussed examining health issues and vaccines when questioned about nominating former presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as his new Director of Health and Human Services.
When questioned about RFK Jr.’s commitment to health and examining possible health concerns related to vaccines and potentially ending certain child vaccine programs, President Trump proudly stated, “We’re going to have a big discussion.”
“The autism rate is at a level that nobody ever believed possible. If you look at things that are happening, there’s something causing it,” he added.
He added, “I’m going to be listening to Bobby, who I’ve really gotten along with great and I have a lot of respect for having to do with food, having to do with vaccinations.”
“He does not disagree with vaccinations, all vaccinations. He disagrees probably with some. But we’ll have it,” he went on. “We’re going to do what’s good for the country.”
President Trump described examining the necessity for specific childhood vaccines and that if proven to offer no benefits, some may need to be ended.
He emphasized the importance of data and research. “I want to see the numbers. It’s going to be the numbers.”
“We’re going to be able to do very serious testing, and we’ll see the numbers. A lot of people think a lot of different things,” he asserted. “And at the end of the studies that we’re doing, and we’re going all out, we’re going to know what’s good and what’s not good. We will know for sure what’s good and what’s not good.”

RSBN reported that President Trump selected RFK Jr. for Secretary of Health and Human Services shortly after winning the 2024 presidential election.
He declared, “The Safety and Health of all Americans is the most important role of any Administration, and HHS will play a big role in helping ensure that everybody will be protected from harmful chemicals, pollutants, pesticides, pharmaceutical products, and food additives that have contributed to the overwhelming Health Crisis in this Country.”
