Fifth Avenue turned red, white, and blue on Friday morning as thousands of Americans stood outside Trump Tower to show support for President Trump after his unprecedented conviction by a New York jury.
Patriots wearing MAGA hats waved Trump flags and American flags, with some turned upside down to signal dire distress, as they lined the street in protest of what many legal experts have called a political persecution.
Inside Trump Tower, President Trump told the crowd, “This is bigger than Trump. This is bigger than me. This is bigger than my presidency.”
He remarked on the unpleasant experience, but said he was “honored to be involved because we’re fighting for our Constitution.”
Support for the 45th president has only grown since the trial began, but the verdict undoubtedly pushed millions of Americans to put on the red cap. A whopping 30 percent of the $34.8 million donated on Thursday night came from people who have never donated before.
