President Donald Trump confirmed on Friday that he will appeal the guilty verdict he received in deep blue New York City on Thursday, following an intense trial in Manhattan that spanned weeks.

In remarks delivered from the Trump Tower atrium in front of a huge crowd of reporters and media, Trump stated that he would be appealing the verdict that slapped him with a shocking 34 felony counts over the alleged falsification of business records.

“We’re going to be appealing this scam,” Trump said. “We’re going to be appealing it on many different things. He wouldn’t allow us to have witnesses, he wouldn’t allow us to talk, he wouldn’t allow us to do anything. The judge was a tyrant.”

“We will continue the fight, we’re going to make America great again, very simply,” the president pledged.

He also noted, “We’re losing our country” but vowed to “do whatever I have to do to save our country and to save our Constitution.”

President Trump pointed out that most people couldn’t take the heat that he’s taken for the past several years. “I’m wired in such a way – a lot of people would have gone away a long time ago,” he remarked.

The president also took a moment to acknowledge that his campaign smashed fundraising records on Thursday following the “sham” verdict in New York, raising a “record $39 million in about a 10 hour period.”
