There are many pivotal moments in history that have marked critical turning points for the cause of freedom: The Battle of Lexington and Concord in 1775. The bombing of Pearl Harbor by Japanese planes in 1941. The horrific destruction of the Twin Towers on September 11, 2001.
Other dates are remembered under the shadow of fear, highlighting a moment in time when all seemed lost and unknown: The secession of the Confederacy in 1861, which sparked a grueling Civil War. President John F. Kennedy’s assassination in 1963. President Ronald Reagan’s near death after a gunman opened fire on him in 1981.
These memories were seared into the hearts and consciousness of Americans who lived through these events and witnessed their aftermath, whether good or bad.
On May 30, 2024, the nation experienced a new and vicious pivotal moment when President Donald Trump, the 45th President of the United States, was convicted on 34 felony counts related to a salacious and poorly executed political show trial in New York City.
Courtroom problems
This conviction by a jury in a deep blue district of New York was plagued by many problems. First, the case hinged on a tepid paperwork dispute that came down to whether checks written to a former lawyer should have been labeled “legal expense” or not.
It seems unthinkable that such a minor matter could be inflated to incur 34 felony counts, and yet, it did.
Second, the presiding judge in the case, Juan Merchan, muzzled the president with an expansive gag order after Trump brought attention to the judge’s conflict of interest. Merchan’s links to Democrat politics cannot be understated. Despite this, he refused to recuse himself.
Third, the trial itself was brought strategically in the Democrat stronghold of Manhattan. Trump said on Friday, “It’s a rigged trial, we wanted a venue change, where we could have a fair trial – we didn’t get it.”
Fourth, the timing of the case seems perfectly tied to the president’s 2024 reelection campaign schedule. With just five months to go until the general election, President Trump has spent weeks tied up in court, and to top things off, his sentencing is scheduled for July 11, 2024 – just days before he is poised to accept the Republican nomination at the Republican National Convention.
The conviction of President Trump will be a moment that lives in infamy, seared into the hearts and minds of Americans everywhere. It marks a turning point in the nation’s history, serving as an indicator for when the land of liberty became the land of polluted justice. It highlights a schism between freedom and communism – a divide between impartiality and blatant political weaponization.
The tyrannical agenda to take down Trump is no longer clandestine, imagined, or simply ridiculous. It is open. It is blatant. And they are flaunting it.
“If they can do this to me, they can do this to anyone,” he told a crowd of media inside Trump Tower on Friday.
They can do it to anyone
Indeed, it is chilling to think how far America could continue to fall if this monstrous attack on the constitutional republic is not halted. With every federal agency and institution seemingly captured by far-left leadership and ideologies, it can seem hopeless.
And yet, President Trump is a reminder that the America First movement, which represents the spirit of Americana and liberty, is alive and well.
“I don’t mind because I’m willing to do whatever I have to do to save our country and to save our Constitution,” the president said after the verdict.
President Trump is experiencing the vengeful wrath of a crushing regime not unlike the political manipulation that is seen in countries like Brazil or Venezuela. In America, the people hold the keys to a revolutionary revival, even if they feel overwhelmed by the Stalinist tactics being used against the man who has become the figurehead for reclaiming national greatness.
Will Americans rise to the occasion? Will they coalesce around President Trump, support his campaign, knock on doors, register voters, bank mail-in votes, make phone calls, and pledge to speak the truth about America’s exceptionalism and mandate to preserve freedom?
Or will they shrink into the shadows, afraid to speak up? Afraid of the regime and the example that it has made out of Trump, will Americans check out of the battle and hope things just “get better” on their own?
Forging ahead through the flames
Americans cannot abandon President Trump because he has not abandoned them. “The real verdict is going to be November 5th by the people and they know what happened and everybody knows what happened here,” he said on Thursday, just moments after the verdict was rendered.
There is deep truth in the president’s words. As millions around the country have moved to donate to Trump’s campaign and speak out against the duplicitous justice system that has sullied American credibility, there is a historic opportunity to overcome.
President Trump’s conviction and upcoming sentencing – which could result in jail time – is the Nelson Mandela moment that will propel him back into the White House in 2024. Americans love an underdog and they love a fighter. Trump has always been a fighter, and he won’t stop until he’s completed his mission of making America great again.
The president stated this week, “We have a country that’s in big trouble but this was a rigged decision right from day one with a conflicted judge who should have never been allowed to try this case – never. And we will fight for our constitution, this is long from over.”
He’s right. The fight is long from over. There will be more battles, more challenges, and more seemingly impossible odds to overcome, but if anyone can face them head-on, it’s President Trump.
He will need the full might of American support behind him in November. Voters must turn out. Republicans, Democrats, Independents, Libertarians, and beyond – they must unite together to issue a stern repudiation of leftist fascism by reelecting President Donald J. Trump as the 47th President of the United States. It is the only path forward and it is the only way to save the country from complete statist annihilation.
The future of freedom in the United States and the world comes down to November 5, 2024. The path ahead is clear, the fight is raging, but victory is on the horizon. Stay the course, America.
