Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., revealed on Wednesday that the distribution of the Jan. 6 tapes is proceeding, adding that House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., recently granted three media outlets unrestricted access to the tapes.

“I’m excited to share the good news that just as I promised the J6 tapes are being released!” the congresswoman wrote on Twitter on Wednesday.

According to the post, Just the News founder John Solomon, senior writer Julie Kelly, and an unknown third source now have “unfettered access” to the recordings, with reporting launching this week.

“This is the transparency the American people deserve and I look forward to their reporting!” Greene concluded.

As reported by RSBN, McCarthy first authorized former Fox News host Tucker Carlson access to 41,000 hours of Capitol surveillance tape, a decision backed by a slew of Republican legislators, including Greene.

Carlson broadcasted parts of the 41,000-hour “insurrection” footage that sparked widespread outrage, as the tapes paint an entirely distinct picture from what Democratic leaders have been claiming transpired on the Capitol for more than two years, according to RSBN.

“The footage does not show an insurrection or a riot in progress,” Carlson boldly stated. “Instead, it shows police escorting protesters through the building, including the now-infamous QAnon Shaman.”

McCarthy defended his decision to release the tapes, advocating transparency, as Carlson offered recollections of what happened, despite tremendous criticism from Republicans and Democrats.

“No. I said at the very beginning, transparency, and so what I want to produce for everybody is exactly what I said, that people could actually look at it and see what’s gone on that day,” the House Speaker told reporters after being asked if he had any regrets giving Carlson access to the footage.

McCarthy stated that the tapes would eventually be made available to “everyone,” RSBN noted.

President Trump reacted to the release of the tapes, calling the Jan. 6 committee “a giant SCAM” and “CRIMINAL FABRICATORS.”

“Congratulations to Tucker Carlson on one of the biggest ‘scoops’ as a reporter in U.S. history,” the president wrote on Truth Social. “The New Surveillance Footage of the January 6th Events sheds an entirely different light on what actually happened. The Unselect Committee was a giant SCAM, and has now unequivocally been stamped as CRIMINAL FABRICATORS OF THIS MOST IMPORTANT DAY. Pelosi & McConnell failed on security. The Police story is sad and difficult to watch. ‘Trump’ and most others are totally innocent, LET THEM GO FREE, NOW!”
