First Lady Melania Trump, to many, is a beloved and classy first spouse, and to others, she is an enigmatic mystery: Who is Mrs. Trump, the beautiful Slovenian model who is married to, arguably, the most powerful leader in the world?

These are the questions “Melania,” a film documentary capturing insight into the First Lady’s long-guarded and private life, may answer.

On Wednesday, Mrs. Trump released the official trailer for the documentary film, carried by Amazon/MGM Studios, and slated for release in January 2026.

“Hi, Mr. President,” the First Lady says in a candid clip from the trailer, while speaking in what appears to be a gilded, golden office, most likely in Trump Tower.

“Did you watch it?” President Trump’s voice echoes from the phone.

“No, I did not,” she replies. “I will see it on the news.”

The documentary trailer gives glimpses of integral moments from the First Lady’s return to the Oval Office, alongside her husband. Beginning with the inauguration on January 20, viewers catch nuggets of authentic moments of the First Lady before and after high-profile events.

Most notably, right before the Inauguration ceremony earlier this year, she is heard whispering, “Here we go again!”

According to Variety, the documentary – which Amazon reportedly paid $40 million to distribute – will focus on the 20 days leading up to President Donald Trump’s second Inauguration in January 2025. “Everybody wants to know, so here it is!” Mrs. Trump exclaims in the trailer.

The First Lady has had a very busy and fruitful first year back in the White House. She has zeroed in on her children-focused initiative with Be Best. She has also hosted a White House Task Force on AI Education and collaborated with the Ukrainian and Russian governments to ensure the safe reunification of displaced Ukrainian children with their families.

“Melania” will premiere in U.S. theaters and internationally on January 30 and will later be available to stream on Prime Video.
