Merrick Garland announces he ‘personally approved’ FBI search warrant on Mar-a-Lago

During a DOJ press conference on Thursday afternoon, Merrick Garland took “personal” responsibility for approving the search warrant for the FBI’s Monday night raid on President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence.

Garland said, “I personally approved the decision to seek a search warrant in this manner.”

Without providing additional details as to why he approved the search warrant, he defended federal agents subject to heightened threats following the unprecedented raid.

Biden’s attorney general promised additional details are to come “at the appropriate time.”

This is a developing story.
