Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R) is planning to take a sledgehammer to government abuse and dirty business dealings as she steps into her newly appointed roles on the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, as well as the House Committee on Homeland Security for the 118th Congress.
In an official statement responding to her appointment to the Oversight and Accountability Committee, Greene reiterated her dedication to investigating “waste, fraud, abuse, and mismanagement of the federal government, which is exactly what the American people are fed up with.”
“Joe Biden, be prepared,” she stated. “We are going to uncover every corrupt business dealing, every foreign entanglement, every abuse of power, and every check cut for The Big Guy. And it’s not just the Biden Crime Family, the GOP majority will investigate every bit of government being used to abuse the American people. Every three and four letter agency will now have to answer to Republican oversight, not the rubber stamp of Democrat rule.”
Rep. Greene has been serious about bringing accountability to the House floor for a long time, promising long before Republicans assumed the majority in January that she was already prepared to move forward with an audit on the “blank checks” being sent to Ukraine.
As reported by RSBN, Greene stated that the House would be committed to transparency for the American people beginning in 2023.
Regarding her appointment to the House Committee on Homeland Security, Greene said it was her honor to serve her constituents, pointing out that the southern border was “being invaded by millions of illegal aliens, criminals, and potential terrorists.” She listed “Chinese fentanyl” and cyber attacks on U.S. infrastructure as two big threats to American safety and security.
“It’s time for accountability with Republicans in charge,” she said. “We will investigate the Biden administration’s violations of our laws and fund (and defund) programs to defend our border and American sovereignty. I can’t wait to get started and look forward to my assignment being ratified next week by the entire GOP conference.”
