President Donald J. Trump will be making a big political speech at Trump National Doral in Miami, Florida, today.
In a post on Truth Social, President Trump stated:
“Making a big political speech today at TRUMP DORAL, in Miami. The Fake News says I am not campaigning very hard. I say they are stupid and corrupt, with the Election still a long time away. But do not fear, MANY GIANT RALLIES and other events coming up soon. It will all be wild and exciting. We will save our Country from DOOM and MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
President Trump announced his 2024 presidential run on Nov. 15, 2022, and his rallies have historically drawn huge crowds. While it is unclear who will ultimately challenge Trump for the nomination, at least one recent poll shows that he is well ahead of any potential challengers.
As reported by The Hill, “A Morning Consult poll released Wednesday showed Trump with 48 percent support among potential Republican primary voters, followed by DeSantis with 31 percent. Trump’s front-runner position differs from some polls since the November midterm elections, which have shown DeSantis closing the gap with Trump or taking a lead in some cases.”
While the election is still a long time away, President Trump and his campaign are not sitting idly by. As reported by Fox News, Trump will appear at an event later this month in Columbia, South Carolina, where he will introduce his leadership team.
In addition to the rallies and other public events, President Trump’s campaign is focused on doing everything possible to help him win reelection. Senior Trump campaign adviser Chris LaCavita recently told Fox News, “the campaign’s been very deliberate and methodical building out an operation that can sustain a long-term effort, and also being mindful of the fact that it is a long-term effort. The campaign is not about making news every single day. It’s about getting the job done and putting the campaign in the best position to succeed.”
While the campaign works behind the scenes, President Trump’s rallies and other public events will likely draw huge crowds and garner significant media attention and coverage.
