The great state of Nevada is on the verge of going red, based on numerous polls and projections ahead of Election Day next week.
A new Cygnal poll found that GOP Senate nominee and former Nevada Attorney General Adam Laxalt was up by three points over his Democrat opponent, incumbent Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto, D-Nev.
Cygnal’s findings also revealed that Republican gubernatorial nominee Sheriff Joe Lombardo was leading incumbent Democrat Gov. Steve Sisolak, Nev., by five points.
As reported by Just the News, another poll from Emerson College has put Laxalt up by eight points since October’s poll, with Lombardo impressively gaining nine full points since September.
Per RSBN, Nevada will likely be one of several GOP gubernatorial pickups nationwide on Tuesday. Based on Real Clear Politics’ projection, Kansas may also turn red if GOP Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt manages to unseat incumbent Kansas Democrat Gov. Laura Kelly.
Both of Nevada’s GOP frontrunners, Laxalt and Lombardo, have been endorsed by President Donald Trump. In October, the 45th president held a supercharged Save America rally in Minden, Nevada, to encourage MAGA supporters to cast their ballots for the entire slate of America First candidates in the Silver State.
He told the crowd, “Whatever you do, get your friends, get your family, and get out and vote. And if you care about election integrity, volunteer as an election worker, poll watcher, or poll challenger.”
Adam Laxalt has also been endorsed by former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard:
“Adam will do what’s right for Nevadans — not what whatever Biden and the woke left demand. Like me, Adam is a veteran who served overseas. Nevada law enforcement supports him. And he’s focused on bringing down the cost of gas and groceries.”
Sheriff Lombardo, in addition to having garnered a coveted endorsement from President Trump, also has the backing of multiple police associations in Nevada.
