Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis was spotted via police bodycam alongside her alleged ex-lover, Nathan Wade, during her daughter’s August 24 arrest in Georgia.

According to The New York Post, Willis arrived on the scene to pick up Kinaya Willis’ vehicle after she was placed under arrest for driving with a revoked or suspended license.

Standing next to Fani Willis was ex-Trump prosecutor Nathan Wade, who resigned after Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee ruled that he or Willis had to remove themselves from the case.

Both Willis and Wade testified during a hearing that their relationship ended in 2023, but the recent joint appearance calls that claim into question.

On the body cam footage, the officers referred to the pair as Kinaya Willis’ parents before Willis clarified that Wade was “just a friend,” according to The Daily Mail.

Kinaya Willis reportedly blamed the incident on her mother, telling authorities she was using her cellphone “due to her mother calling her related to her pregnancy,” according to the outlet. She also claimed she was not aware that her license was suspended on May 13.

Willis’ racketeering case against Trump was temporarily halted in June by the Georgia Court of Appeals, which agreed to hear Trump and eight of his co-defendants’ appeal to remove Willis from the case.

The court will hear oral arguments on Oct. 4. The three-judge panel has until March 14, 2025, to rule on the matter, according to CBS.

In his ruling that allowed Trump and his co-defendants to appeal, McAfee said that Willis had a “tremendous lapse in judgment” and that “an odor of mendacity remains” regarding the pair’s conduct.

The body cam footage further erodes Willis’ credibility and will likely be used as campaign fodder and additional calls for her removal.

In addition to Trump’s Georgia case, the 45th president faces updated charges from special counsel Jack Smith related to the events of Jan. 6, 2021, and is scheduled for an upcoming sentencing over his hush-money New York case.
