The Trump campaign released a statement on Wednesday from a handful of small business owners in New Hampshire calling out Vice President Kamala Harris over her failed economic policies as she heads to the state.
Harris is set to take the stage in North Hampton, New Hampshire, to detail her reported plans of announcing a $50,000 tax benefit for small businesses and expanding the current $5,000 deduction for start-up firms by tenfold, according to The Washington Post. Ahead of her visit, Trump National Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt posted to X concerning the views of several small business owners throughout the state.
“We as true Americans have an opportunity to save out country with a Trump presidency. The choice has never been clearer. This is communism versus freedom. Remember what it was like during Trump’s four years in office, how great everyone and the country was doing,” Tom Moulton of SleepNet Corporation wrote.
“Our country cannot and will not be able to withstand a Kamala Harris presidency and the progressive Democratic agenda. Our way of life as we know it will be over. It will be the beginning of the end for America if Kamala wins,” Moulton continued.
Others also warned how a Harris administration would continue to fail the nation’s economy.
“Why would I vote for Kamala Harris when she has already failed to help me as a vice president? When President Trump was in office, my business was doing better because people had more money to spend. Kamala Harris is just another politician who makes empty promises to get elected. President Trump is a businessman. He understands what we need. That’s why he has my vote,” Greg Belisle of Arrowhead Motors wrote.
“As a small business owner, I know how devastating the high taxes and high inflation have been under the Biden-Harris Administration. Kamala Harris is the most radical left-wing nominee in American history, and hard working middle-class families simply cannot afford four more years of the same failed policies,” John O’Blenis III of John’s Painting Service wrote.
In mid-August, Harris unveiled the first portion of her economic plans in a North Carolina speech, centering the focus on proposing a federal ban for “corporate price gouging” to address high grocery stores prices. However, the vice president received backlash over the push as political pundits from both sides of the aisle called out Harris’ plan as unrealistic.
