A new poll finds that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis holds a steady lead over his Democrat challengers, just months before Floridians head to the polls for November’s election.
The latest Florida Chamber poll conducted on August 4-15 of 608 respondents revealed DeSantis holds an eight percent lead over former Florida governor Charlie Crist and a seven percent lead over Commissioner of Agriculture Nikki Fried.
DeSantis’s job approval also remains high, as more than half of voters, 54 percent, approve of the governor’s job. The majority of support flows from 88 percent of Republicans and 52 percent of unaffiliated voters, the poll further showed.
Furthermore, DeSantis has an incredible approval rate among Hispanic voters, with 65 percent approving of his performance.
The state’s Republican Party has also achieved significant milestones this year, outpacing Democrats by 100,000 voter registrations for the first time in state history as a result of DeSantis’s incredible leadership.
“There’s no beating around the fact this historic gain is because of Governor Ron DeSantis,” Florida Republican Party Executive Director Helen Aguirre Ferré told Fox News Digital. “Florida voters are appreciative of the palpable sense of freedom he has created in our state.”
