On January 17, President Donald Trump made waves in the cryptocurrency market by dropping the $Trump meme coin in Solana’s network. Trump posted on X, “My NEW Official Trump Meme is HERE! It’s time to celebrate everything we stand for: WINNING! Join my very special Trump Community. GET YOUR $TRUMP NOW. Have Fun!”

The $Trump coin shows Trump’s iconic fist pump with “Fight, Fight, Fight.” The $Trump meme coin was first released on the cryptocurrency wallet Moonshot, starting at $10 early Sunday morning, according to CoinMarketCap. Then, $Trump soared to an all-time high 24 hours after the launch at $70 a coin. The $Trump coin took a nosedive after Melania released her meme coin on Sunday afternoon.

All of Trump’s sons are strong supporters of cryptocurrency, which is used in decentralized networks without banks acting as the middleman to transfer money from user to user directly. Cryptocurrency is used around the world as an alternative method of payment without hidden fees, including Trump’s by youngest son, Barron.

Donald Trump Jr. wrote on X, “We are all extremely proud of what we continue to accomplish in crypto. $Trump is currently the hottest digital meme on earth and I truly believe that @WorldLibertyFi  will revolutionize DeFi/Cefi and will be the future of finance. We are just getting started!”

Trump campaigned as the first pro-cryptocurrency president as big days are coming ahead for the cryptocurrency market during Trump’s second term under the leadership of SEC chairman and pro-cryptocurrency advocate, Paul Atkins.

Despite the volatility, cryptocurrency enthusiasts and Trump supporters worldwide invested in Trump’s coin as the cryptocurrency market highly anticipates a historic Inauguration Day.
