In the busy streets of India’s capital city, New Delhi, nearly 100 motorized rickshaws drove around the city proudly displaying banners with President Trump’s face with a happy birthday message.

According to Breitbart, the rickshaws, also known as “tuks-tuks,” sported banners with President Trump’s face, the American flag, and a message that read, “Happy Birthday America! 250 Years Old.” The banners are part of an ad campaign created by the U.S. Embassy in India. Rolled out in mid-April by Ambassador Sergio Gor, the campaign celebrates America’s history.

In a post shared to social media platform X, Gor had written, “Thrilled to kick-off the #Freedom250 celebrations from New Delhi, previewing vibrant autos featuring @POTUS and iconic American images that will be rolled out across the city to mark the start of this special journey. As we celebrate America’s 250th, we also honor the strength and dynamism of the U.S.-India partnership.”

During the campaign announcement, the U.S. Embassy in India said, “Freedom is on the move… literally!”

Breitbart reported that the ad campaign is a part of the Freedom 250 campaign for America’s 250th birthday celebration called Task Force 2050. The campaign started last year on Memorial Day and will continue until the end of 2026. On the official White House website, the campaign is described as a way “to inspire a renewed love for American history, encourage citizens to experience the beauty of our country, ignite a spirit of adventure and innovation to help our nation succeed for the next 250 years, and invite Americans to pray for our country and our people and rededicate ourselves as One Nation Under God.”

This multifaceted effort involves a full year of festivities, including the largest synchronized Fourth of July celebration in the country’s history, held as a block party. The campaign also focuses on a charitable aspect through the America Gives volunteer initiative, which encourages Americans to help others this year.

The Freedom 250 campaign holds a special place in President Trump’s heart, as he describes it: “The story of America makes everyone free.”
