President Donald Trump focused on financial issues during a Tuesday night rally in northeastern Pennsylvania, telling supporters his administration is driving down prices and boosting wages ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.
“I have no higher priority than making America affordable again,” President Trump told the crowd at the Mount Airy Casino Resort in Mount Pocono. Standing before a banner reading “Lower Prices, Bigger Paychecks,” he argued that inflation is easing under his leadership. “They caused high prices, and we’re bringing them down. … They gave you high prices. They gave you the highest inflation in history. And we’re bringing those prices down rapidly.”
“You’re getting lower prices, bigger paychecks,” he added. “We’re crushing it. And you’re getting much higher wages.”
Democrats have argued that the administration has not addressed affordability concerns, warning of economic strain for many families. President Trump pushed back, pointing instead to rising markets: “The only thing that’s really going up big, it’s called the stock market. And your 401(k) — that’s going up.”
Here is a clean rewrite that keeps the meaning intact:
The tour follows his rollout of a $12 billion aid package for farmers affected by his tariffs, along with the creation of two task forces to investigate price fixing, foreign interference, and monopolistic behavior that drive up grocery costs for American families.
The president also addressed major social issues that have changed under his administration.
“We don’t have to sell men in women’s sports. We don’t have to sell transgender to everybody. We don’t have to sell open borders where the whole world is allowed to come into our country from prisons and everywhere,” President Trump told the crowd. “That’s our message. They gave you high prices. They gave you the highest inflation in history. And we’re bringing those prices down rapidly.”
President Donald Trump’s approval rating also rose to 41 percent over the past week, primarily driven by improved support from Republicans who give him higher marks on handling the cost of living, according to a new Reuters/Ipsos poll released Monday, RSBN previously reported.
