President Donald Trump is projected to win in Georgia, according to Decision Desk HQ.
Georgia triumphantly flipped back to red after the state voted for Biden in 2020.
Winning Georgia may be a deciding factor for Trump as a key swing state with 16 electoral votes.
“In Georgia, the population is comprised of Non-Hispanic White individuals making up 52% of the demographic, followed by Black individuals at 32%, Hispanics at 11%, and Asians at 5%. With such a diverse population, each candidate will need to appeal to a wide range of demographic groups to secure victory in this key swing state,” Decision Desk reported.
“In the 2020 Presidential election, Joe Biden narrowly won Georgia by a margin of 0.2%, flipping the state from Republican control. In 2016, Donald Trump carried Georgia by a margin of 4.8%. Given the state’s recent history of close election, Georgia is expected to be highly competitive once again in the upcoming election,” it added.
The presidential election is now going down to the wire with more election results coming in while awaiting the final election results for the other key battleground swing states, including Nevada, Arizona, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
Trump is also projected to win North Carolina, RSBN previously reported.
