President Donald Trump will visit Walter Reed National Military Medical Center this month, where he will receive an annual dental and medical evaluation, according to the White House.
The president will also visit with U.S. servicemembers while he is at Walter Reed “in recognition of their service, professionalism, and dedication to the nation,” the WH statement noted.
The dental and medical evaluations are part of the president’s “routine” dental and medical exams.
President Trump received an annual checkup last spring, which was accompanied by a report from Captain Sean P. Barbabella, the physician to the president. “President Trump remains in excellent health, exhibiting robust cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and general physical function,” the doctor noted in a statement in 2025.
President Trump underwent a second physical exam in October 2025, just months after his April visit to Walter Reed, again receiving an “excellent” bill of health, per CBS.
Last year, President Trump also revealed that he had undergone an MRI exam, offhandedly remarking to reporters that the results of the test were “perfect.” The MRI was reportedly a preventative procedure.
In the summer of 2025, the White House confirmed that President Trump had been experiencing swelling in his lower legs and bruising on his hands, chalking it up to “chronic venous insufficiency” – a circulation problem common in elderly adults.
The president has also taken at least three cognitive exams and “aced” them, he has confirmed.
“I do these Tests because I owe it to our Country,” President Trump said in December 2025.
President Donald Trump assumed office for his second term at the age of 78, making him the oldest person to begin a presidential term. He will be 82 years old when he departs the White House in 2029, officially making him the oldest-ever president in U.S. history.
