President Trump’s visit to the UK has resulted in a historic tech deal that unlocks billions in transatlantic growth and nuclear power.
According to Breitbart, President Trump spent the day at Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer’s official country residence in business and political meetings. This came after President Trump had a disagreement with Starmer on the issue of the prime minister recognizing Palestine as a state, reported RSBN.
The day started with a private bilateral talk between the two leaders, and many believed it included topics such as the Gaza war, Ukraine, and the ongoing freedom of speech crisis the UK is currently dealing with. According to ABC News, both leaders expressed their frustration with Russian President Vladimir Putin during a joint news conference. During that conference, Starmer had said that Putin is “not someone who wants peace.”
After that was a business meeting that resulted in a new business partnership. Breitbart reported what Starmer said to the marquee, “What a day. £250 billion flowing both ways across the Atlantic, it is the biggest investment package of its kind in British history by a country mile.”
He added, “The potency of this partnership, U.S. capital and entrepreneurial, combined with British ideas an ingenuity.”
The landmark deal brings billions of dollars in opportunities for both nations, and President Trump said it would give America “better access to the UK’s world-class aerospace supply-chain, which really is world-class. A lot of people don’t understand the importance of that particular asset.”
President Trump explained a bit more what this deal will mean for the country saying, “we’re taking the next logical step with the historic agreement on science and technology partnerships and this will create new government, academic, and private sector cooperation in sectors such as A.I., which is taking over the world… quantum computing, fusion, 6G, civil nuclear energy.”
This deal highlights how strong the bond between America and the UK is.
“Together, we must defend the exceptional heritage that makes us who we are, and we must continue to stand for the values and the people of the English-speaking world,” said President Trump.
President Trump wraps up his historic visit today to head back home to Washington.
