President Trump to top military brass: strength comes from the PEOPLE

President Donald Trump spoke on Tuesday to the nation’s top military leaders in Quantico, Virginia, where he delivered a speech emphasizing American might – and the source of American success.

“I am with you, I support you, and as president, I have your backs 100 percent – you’ll never see me even waver a little bit,” he promised America’s fighting men and women.

He continued, “We’re going to make our military stronger, tougher, faster, [and] fiercer than it has ever been before.”

During his speech, President Trump paid homage to the legacies of great presidents like Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, and Grover Cleveland, and their commitment to using the U.S. military to protect the people of this country.

President Trump said, “[They] all used the Armed Forces to keep domestic order and peace, many of our leaders used the military to keep peace…So today, I want to thank every servicemember from general to private who has bravely helped us secure the nation’s capital and make America safe for the American people – it’s amazing, the whole world is watching.”

This comment comes on the heels of the president’s decision this week to deploy troops to Portland, Oregon, to clean up rampant crime and violence.

President Trump also spoke about the incredible American spirit that drives the superiority of the U.S. Armed Forces – a strength rooted in a uniquely independent culture and people.

“From Sparta, to Rome, to the British Empire, to the United States of America, history has shown that military supremacy has never been simply a matter of money or manpower,” the president remarked.

He added, “At the end of the day, it is the culture and spirit of our military that truly sets us apart from any other nation. Our ultimate strength will always come from the fierce people… the unbending will, and the traditions of excellence that have made us the most unstoppable force ever to walk the face of the earth.”

The president further foreshadowed upcoming developments at the Department of War in the months to come that will “reaffirm the identity” of the original name restoration.

“If we are as ruthless as our enemies, the U.S. Armed Forces will be totally unmatched long into the future,” President Trump said.
