A new poll found that President Donald Trump’s approval ratings are as high as ever amid his latest rounds of tariff implementations.
According to a recent DailyMail.com/J.L. Partners survey of 1,000 Registered Voters, conducted March 31 to April 3, over 53 percent of those polled positively viewed the president, a four-point increase from the previous week.
Among voters aged 18 to 29, President Trump’s approval rating was up 13 points from March 7 and six more points among Democrats and independents.
His support among Republican black voters also increased 17 points from last week, according to the poll.
Additionally, 36 percent of Registered Voters also supported the president’s 10 percent minimum tariff on all goods coming in from other countries, while only 28 percent were opposed. The poll also found 36 percent remained unsure.
Similarly, 39 percent of Registered Voters supported increasing tariffs on all goods from foreign countries, while 37 percent disapproved. The survey additionally found 24 percent of those still unsure.
Throughout recent weeks, the president has remained steadfast in his determination to implement tariffs on foreign goods coming into the United States.
Despite the recent stock market turmoil, President Trump told Americans to “hang tough” and that his tariffs have brought trillions of dollars into the country and will continue to do so.
“China has been hit much harder than the USA, not even close. They, and many other nations, have treated us unsustainably badly,” the president wrote in a post to Truth Social on Saturday.
He continued, “We have been the dumb and helpless ‘whipping post,’ but not any longer. We are bringing back jobs and businesses like never before. Already, more than FIVE TRILLION DOLLARS OF INVESTMENT, and rising fast! THIS IS AN ECONOMIC REVOLUTION, AND WE WILL WIN.”
“HANG TOUGH, it won’t be easy, but the end result will be historic,” he added. “We will, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!”
