On Thursday, President Donald Trump and his administration celebrated one month of being in office, and to mark the occasion, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt held a press briefing elevating the numerous accomplishments of the executive office over the past 30 days.

“Today marks one month of President Trump’s return to the Oval Office and there is no denying that this administration is off to a historic start,” she said.

Leavitt noted that in just one month, Trump had signed 73 executive orders, which was “more than quadruple” the amount signed by former President Barack Obama during the same time in his administration.

She also said the Senate had confirmed 18 cabinet-level nominations and on Thursday, she stated that the administration expected Kash Patel to be confirmed as the next director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Shortly after the briefing concluded, Patel was confirmed in the Senate by a tight vote of 51-49.

On the subject of transparency, Leavitt highlighted President Trump’s open and frequent communication with the media, adding that the president took “more than 12 times the questions in his first few hours of office as Joe Biden did in his entire first week.”

Other accomplishments of the first 30 days of Trump’s stellar administration include:

  • Presidential meetings with the leaders of Israel, Japan, Jordan, and India,
  • Scheduled meetings with leaders of France and the UK next week, according to Leavitt,
  • The beginning of peace talks with Russia, with the United States leading the discussions,
  • The signing of the Laken Riley Act, which ensures illegal aliens caught for minor offenses will be detained,
  • A sealed and secure border,
  • Unleashed energy sector,
  • Cutting waste, fraud, and abuse,
  • Protecting women’s sports, and acknowledging and restoring the biological definitions of sex,
  • The ongoing securement of hostages in the Middle East,
  • Designating drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations,
  • Protecting children from chemical and surgical mutilation by halting underage gender transition operations and treatments,
  • Banning Covid-19 vaccine mandates for schools receiving federal funding.

This list is not nearly comprehensive, but it highlights the rapid-fire speed of the administration’s work so far.

During Thursday’s press briefing, White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller called the first month of Trump’s second term “the most historic opening to a presidency in American history – no president comes close to what President Trump has achieved in the last 30 days.”

He added, “No one in this country has ever seen anything like it.”
