According to a new report from Fox News shared by President Donald Trump on Truth Social, a source familiar with the 45th president has claimed that he “loves the idea of testifying” before the Jan. 6 Committee.

The news comes just after the partisan panel voted on Thursday to subpoena President Trump as part of their ongoing “investigation” into the events that took place at the U.S. Capitol Building on Jan. 6, 2021.

Per Fox News’ exclusive report, the unidentified source told the outlet that if Trump were to comply with the subpoena from the committee, he would reportedly discuss election fraud and committee corruption. The report added that Trump would bring up Nancy Pelosi’s refusal to allow the National Guard to secure Washington D.C. and Capitol Building, despite his authorization and recommendation to do so.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., commented on reports that Trump would “love” to testify before Jan. 6 Committee.

According to an Axios report, while the committee voted to subpoena President Trump, it is unclear if the subpoena has been officially issued.

Meanwhile, President Trump responded to the Jan. 6 Committee on Friday with a powerful, 14-page letter slamming the panel for their partisan politics and refusal to review evidence of election fraud.

“A large percentage of American Citizens, including almost the entire Republican Party, feel that the Election was Rigged and Stolen (because they have seen the determinative evidence, some of which is attached to this letter),” Trump wrote. “No work was done by the Committee on Election Fraud. We, and a huge portion of the American people, simply asked that it be a part of your Committee’s work. It wasn’t.”

President Trump told Fox News Digital that the Jan. 6 Committee’s ongoing investigation was “a partisan witch hunt, together with two Republicans that have been thrown out of the party — one not wanting to run because he couldn’t win; and another losing by a record number of more than 40 points.”
