Trump advisor Stephen Miller blasted a mainstream narrative this week regarding a deported individual from Maryland, whom some claimed was mistakenly deported to an El Salvadoran prison.

“Let’s just go over the facts here – he is an illegal alien, fact one,” Miller told Fox News host Jesse Watters. “What do you do with illegal aliens? You deport them.”

Miller is also the Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy in the Trump White House.

He was responding to stories circulating in the media regarding a Baltimore, Maryland man who was allegedly deported to El Salvador. According to CBS, Kilmar Abrego Garcia, 29, is a father who was arrested in Beltsville. Initially, the Department of Homeland Security seemed to signal that Garcia was indeed erroneously deported, but Miller’s comments suggest just the opposite.

“He’s MS-13,” Miller alleged on Fox. “What do you do with illegal aliens who are also in a transnational terrorist organization? You deport them more quickly. Oh, and on top of that, he’s implicated in human trafficking. Deport, deport, deport!”

Miller also slammed Democrats for defending the alleged gang member, despite what appears to be a disturbing and predatory rap sheet, according to the Trump administration.

He remarked, “This is who they’re going to bat for. What are we supposed to do? Buy the guy a house? Get him some free healthcare? Maybe let him run for Congress. This is the Democrat Party, this is who they stand for…they stand for illegal alien predators that are in transnational cartels.”

This week, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt noted during a briefing that there was a “clerical error” with Garcia’s deportation process, but said the administration maintained the position that he “was a member of the brutal and vicious MS-13 gang, that is fact number one.”

She said they also had “credible intelligence” that suggested Garcia was possibly involved in human trafficking, echoing Miller’s allegations. She additionally pointed out that MS-13 has been categorized as a foreign terrorist organization under the Trump administration.

“Foreign terrorists do not have legal protections in the United States of America anymore, and it is within the president’s executive authority and power to deport these heinous individuals from American communities,” she said.
