President Donald Trump snagged yet another endorsement for the 2024 presidency from a prominent conservative lawmaker, U.S. Sen. Ted Budd, R-N.C.
Sen. Budd wrote a glowing endorsement of the 45th president on Thursday, supporting Trump strongly in his reelection campaign and highlighting the “positive impact of the America First agenda for North Carolina’s working families.”
Budd stated in his official endorsement:
“Just a few years ago America was strong, but now under Joe Biden, we are a nation in decline. Our economy is faltering, our wide-open southern border is tragically wrecking lives, and our country’s power and influence in the world is diminished. Under President Trump, our economy saw record-setting growth, and families were starting to get ahead. Neighborhoods were safer. Across the globe, we were achieving peace. We were respected by allies and feared by enemies. That’s why I endorse Donald J. Trump for President. Hardworking, everyday families need a return of the America First agenda to restore prosperity and peace.”
Budd has joined Republican Florida Reps. Byron Donalds, Anna Paulina Luna, Matt Gaetz, and Cory Mills in endorsing President Trump as he seeks to reclaim the White House, RSBN reported.
Rep. Mills said in his endorsement, “We need to stop the infighting and come together and unify. And I think right now the person that we need to be unifying behind is President Trump.”
Per Breitbart, South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster has also endorsed Trump.
These key endorsements have flooded in as Trump has dominated the 2024 GOP political primary polls.
A new Morning Consult poll found that Trump led a field of Republican contenders for the 2024 nomination with 56 percent of the Republican vote against potential rival Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., who netted 23 percent.
