President Trump was beaming, as were members of his family, following reports of a decisive victory in Iowa’s 2024 GOP caucus in the first contest of the presidential primaries.
Moments after winning in Iowa, Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., posted a picture to X (formerly Twitter) alongside the president, both of whom brandished big smiles and a thumbs up.
“Well, that was fast,” the Trump son captioned his photo. “Thank you Iowa. Now let’s end this nonsense and go after the insanity that is today’s Democrat party. Enough is enough! It’s time to put America first for a change.”
Trump’s second-born son, Eric Trump, also celebrated his father’s win in Iowa on Monday, writing to X, “I love you #Iowa! THANK YOU! #MAGA.”
Various Trump-aligned conservatives praised Trump’s historic win just moments after the race was called, including Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., and Trump Senior Advisor Dan Scavino.
One of Trump’s most staunch supporters, former Arizona gubernatorial candidate and current contender for U.S. Senate Republican Kari Lake, even congratulated the president on his massive victory in Iowa.
“Congratulations to President Donald J. Trump on his incredible victory in the Iowa Primary,” Lake posted to X.
Lake continued, “[Trump] gave [Iowans] four years of historic peace and prosperity. America is ready to have that again. It’s time for this primary to come to an end. I urge Republicans to unite around President Trump as our nominee and focus on defeating @JoeBiden.”
