“He has played a key role in defeating the Election Interference and Lawfare waged against me, including by winning the Historic Immunity Decision in the Supreme Court. Will has served as a federal prosecutor, worked diligently to confirm Judges and Justices during my first term, clerked for two Federal Court Judges, and was an award winning graduate at Harvard Law School and Magna Cum Laude at Princeton. Will is going to make us proud as we Make America Great Again,” Trump added.

Schaf also posted Sunday on X concerning his new role in the Trump administration.

“Over the last day, thousands of you have reached out with congratulations and kind words. From the bottom of my heart, thank you,” he wrote.

“I’m honored by the opportunity I’ve been given to serve the country as part of President Trump’s White House team, and I’m excited to get down to it!” he continued.

The announcement adds to several early decisions from Trump concerning his new leadership team. He first announced Suzie Wiles as White House chief of staff, making her the first woman to serve in the role.

Trump also announced Florida Sen. Marco Rubio as Secretary of State last week, along with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to serve as the director of Health and Human Services and Doug Burgum as the Secretary of the Interior.

Over the weekend, Trump shared several additional updates, including his campaign spokesperson Karoline Leavitt as White House press secretary and Liberty Energy CEO Chris Wright to lead the Department of Energy.
