The new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is welcoming another warrior dedicated to reducing government spending.

In a Truth Social post, President-elect Donald Trump made the exciting announcement.

“Katie Miller will soon be joining DOGE!” She is the wife of Stephen Miller, who served as a senior advisor for policy and director of speechwriting for the White House during the first Trump administration and will be Trump’s deputy chief of staff in the second.

Trump expanded on why he chose Katie Miller for the position. “She has been a loyal supporter of mine for many years, and will bring her professional experience to Government Efficiency. Katie is a deeply experienced communications professional respected by all. Congratulations to Stephen and Katie!”

Katie Miller previously worked as former Vice President Mike Pence’s press secretary and also as the deputy press secretary for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) during the first Trump administration.

Additionally, she was a press secretary for Montana Republican Senator Steve Daines and communications director for former Sen. Martha McSally, R-Ariz., according to The Hill.

Mrs. Miller shared Trump’s Truth Social post in a post on X, formerly Twitter. “Thank you @realDonaldTrump for your trust. Deeply honored to work for you at DOGE to make our government efficient and accountable. Let’s Make America Great Again!” she wrote.

DOGE aims to reduce government spending and transform the federal government into something that benefits the American people. Eliminating regulatory burdens is also a top priority of DOGE. DOGE’s X bio states, “The people voted for major reform.”

In a Monday X post, DOGE wrote, “Unless addressed, the U.S. Govt will add over $6.4 billion of debt every day for the next ten years, borrowing over $268 million every hour, $4.5 million every minute and $74,401 every second. Total debt stands at $36.2 trillion and this year, interest payments exceeded $1 trillion.”
