President Donald Trump denounced the Biden administration’s latest efforts to silence political opponents, contending that it is turning America into a “police state.”
“After ignoring violent attacks on pro-life clinics, the Biden administration is rounding up pro-life activists all over the country,” Trump noted Saturday at a Save America rally in Minden, Nevada, referencing the shocking raid and arrest of a pro-life activist in Pennsylvania last month.
“The Democrats are locking up their political opponents, spying on their political rivals, silencing dissent, and using the full force of government, law enforcement, and the media … to try and crush our movement,” the president continued.
In August, Trump was the target of an FBI raid as well, raising concerns among many that the agency is no longer the unbiased arbiter of justice it has traditionally presented itself to be.
Those concerns have been elevated in recent weeks as reports of additional raids on political dissidents have made waves, including one that was carried out on MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, an outspoken critic of the Biden administration who has openly questioned the validity of the 2020 presidential election results.
In his Saturday remarks, Trump declared that the time to stand up against such “tyranny” is now, urging his supporters to keep fighting for the soul of the nation.
“The only way evil will triumph is for good men and women to do nothing,” he noted.
