Speculation swirled on social media following the Trump campaign’s announcement that a special surprise guest would attend his rally in Arizona on Friday afternoon.
On Thursday afternoon, President Donald Trump shared a photo of himself with a silhouette of another man. He captioned the post, “Join me tomorrow in Arizona,” along with a link to his website to get tickets.
Online users began guessing who the faceless person looked like, with many noting that Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. would also be in Arizona on Friday to address the nation.
Just a few hours before Trump’s post, Kennedy’s running mate, Nicole Shanahan, slammed the Democratic Party for trying to sue them to block access to the presidential ballot.
“My old Dem buddies have been flooding me with frantic calls, texts, and emails. Unlike Ro, I wouldn’t dream of airing those private conversations publicly, but the message is clear: they’re terrified of the idea of our movement joining forces with Donald Trump. When I point out what the Democratic Party and their super PACs have done to sabotage our campaign, their response is always, “but Trump is worse.” Here’s an idea: stop suing us. Let us debate. Quit rigging the media and the polls. It’s a simple formula, people—get with it,” Shanahan wrote.
On Friday morning, RFK Jr. officially withdrew his name from the Arizona ballot, just hours ahead of his scheduled address at 2:00 p.m. Eastern.
Trump will speak at 7:00 p.m. Eastern on Friday, where he “will be joined by a special guest as he delivers remarks about his America First policies and his vision to lower inflation and the cost of living, secure the border, and make our cities safe again.”
Whether the rumors are true or not, his surprise guest announcement has certainly created a buzz that will bring in even more viewers and potential voters.
