The Trump campaign released a new video on Monday featuring an endorsement from NFL Hall of Fame linebacker Brian Urlacher.

Urlacher’s message emphasized the importance of supporting Trump to “tackle” the nation’s problems.

“I’ve made a lot of big hits in my career, but there’s only one man who can tackle the problems facing our nation. President Trump will tackle inflation and will make American affordable again,” he stated during the video.

“He will slash your taxes, and remember, a vote for Trump is a voter for no tax on tips. He’ll protect our border and stop dangerous drugs like fentanyl from entering our communities. But most importantly, he will put Americans like you above everyone else. So please join me in supporting President Trump. America needs him now more than ever,” the former linebacker continued.

Urlacher previously expressed his support of Trump in a golf course photo that turned viral on Instagram.

“Doesn’t matter how many fake charges they find him guilty of he’s still got my vote,” he said in the May post.

The well-known linebacker played 13 seasons with the Chicago Bears where he was an eight-time All-Pro selection. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2018.

According to his entry from the Hall of Fame’s website, Urlacher “was named to the NFL All-Decade Team of the 2000s. In his 182 career games, Urlacher had 41.5 sacks, 22 interceptions for 324 yards and two touchdowns as well as 90 passes defensed, 12 forced fumbles and 16 fumble recoveries.”

He also made 1,358 tackles during his 13 seasons. Urlacher appeared in one Super Bowl where the Bears lost to the Indianapolis Colts in 2007.

Urlacher previously played college football at the University of New Mexico and Texas Christian University. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2017.

Urlacher’s brother, Casey, was pardoned by Trump before he left the White House in January 2021. The case involved federal charges that he recruited for a multimillion-dollar illegal offshore gambling group.
