President Trump has plans to campaign in territory where few Republicans have dared venture to reach Americans in deep blue strongholds.
Two new locations President Trump and his campaign have teased to rally in are Madison Square Garden and the Bronx.
In a social media post on Thursday, Trump Senior Advisor Dan Scavino posted, “WE’LL SEE YOU SOON-BRONX, NEW YORK,” teasing campaign plans on the horizon.
Rumors have swirled over the past few months about President Trump’s plans to make a “big play” for New York. Fox host Maria Bartiromo asked him about the potential rally in the South Bronx, and he replied, “I think I will do that. I think I’ll do one at, maybe, Madison Square Garden, too.”
A Trump rally in the heart of New York would likely pull historic crowds similar to those seen at the 45th president’s May rally in Wildwood, New Jersey, which turned out 100,000 people.
Due to the shifting political climate in Democrat-run cities and the continued lawfare against President Trump, New York voters are warming up to his reelection bid.
A recent survey showed the 45th president’s rising momentum in the Empire State. Trump cut Biden’s lead in New York to just ten points, less than half of Biden’s 2020 victory margin, according to Siena College Research Institute.
