President Donald Trump, in his promise to Make America Great Again, has never wavered in the face of adversity. He has proven time and time again that a new age is possible.

Securing fair trade deals for Americans remains a top priority for his administration, particularly in the face of competitors.

Wednesday morning, the 47th president celebrated a new agreement with China, following diplomatic negotiations in London.

“OUR DEAL WITH CHINA IS DONE, SUBJECT TO FINAL APPROVAL WITH PRESIDENT XI AND ME,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

“FULL MAGNETS, AND ANY NECESSARY RARE EARTHS, WILL BE SUPPLIED, UP FRONT, BY CHINA. LIKEWISE, WE WILL PROVIDE TO CHINA WHAT WAS AGREED TO, INCLUDING CHINESE STUDENTS USING OUR COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES (WHICH HAS ALWAYS BEEN GOOD WITH ME!). WE ARE GETTING A TOTAL OF 55% TARIFFS, CHINA IS GETTING 10%. RELATIONSHIP IS EXCELLENT! THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER!”

According to reports, the framework for a new trade deal was agreed upon during the second day of talks between counterparts of both countries.

An hour after his first post, President Trump shared more details about the negotiations on Truth Social. “Adding to the China readout, President XI and I are going to work closely together to open up China to American Trade. This would be a great WIN for both countries!!!”

Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick also reveled in the moment. “It was fantastic to team up with Secretary Scott Bessent and Ambassador Jamieson Greer. World-class team delivering world-class results for America,” he wrote on X.

United States Trade Representative Jamieson Greer spoke to the press after Tuesday’s negotiations.

When asked how the Trump administration would hold China to the terms of the deal, Greer remarked, “As long as Donald Trump is the President, there is going to be enforcement, just trust me on that.”

He also provided a recap of the meeting in a post on X. “U.S.-China trade talks centered on accelerating the full execution of the Geneva Agreement and additional measures. President Trump’s trade team will work closely with the Chinese to ensure prompt implementation under a framework established by President Trump and President Xi to promote stability and balance in the relationship,” Greer wrote.
