A recent poll conducted by Public Policy Polling (PPP) shows President Donald Trump sweeping as much as eight points within some of the key battleground states against Vice President Kamala Harris.

While the survey was notably taken on July 11-12, prior to the withdrawal of President Joe Biden from the 2024 race, PPP questioned voters within states such as Pennsylvania, Arizona, Michigan, and Wisconsin on their top picks come this November.

The survey asked voters a number of questions about various political leaders compared to Trump. According to PPP data, voters in all four battleground states threw their support behind Trump when competing with Harris.

According to the survey data, 51 percent of Pennsylvania voters would support Trump, with Harris falling six points behind at 45 percent. In Arizona, Trump led by eight points, hitting 52 percent of the voters’ support, with Harris sitting at 44 percent, according to PPP.

Trump sits at 48 percent of voters support in Michigan, with Harris at 46 percent, PPP data shows. While in Wisconsin, the match up between Harris and Trump was a difference between one point, as Trump led the vice president 49 percent to 48 percent, according to PPP.

Biden withdrew his reelection bid on Sunday in a letter posted to X (formerly known as Twitter) as he stated that while he had the intention to run again, he believed it would be best for the Democratic Party and the country if he focused solely on the remainder of his term.

In a second post online, Biden then endorsed Harris as the next potential nominee, calling for Democrats to come together and “beat Trump.”

Following the announcement, Harris received an onslaught of support from fellow Democratic lawmakers and leaders and was confirmed Tuesday to have received more than 3,000 delegates, surpassing the required 1,976 needed to be the next presumptive presidential nominee, according to The Associated Press.
