President Donald Trump continues to dominate as the leading candidate to win the presidency in 2024, according to a hypothetical 2024 match-up.
A new poll by McLaughlin & Associates conducted from Sept. 17-22 of 1,000 likely voters found that President Trump will likely snatch the Republican nomination and win the general 2024 presidential race, should he choose to run.
When asked whether voters would like to see Trump run for president again in 2024, a stunning 71 percent of Republican primary voters voiced support for another presidential bid. Moreover, 86 percent of primary voters said they would back Trump for the Republican nomination if he ran.
In a hypothetical 2024 match-up between Trump and Biden, Trump would sweep the race with 49 percent support, compared to Biden’s 45 percent. The margin widens in a match between Trump and Kamala Harris, with 51-42, respectively.
Biden’s reelection chances continue to slim down as a majority of likely voters, 49 percent, say that the country is worse off due to Biden’s and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s policies.
Moreover, a whopping 69 percent of respondents disagree with Biden’s “zero inflation” characterization as thousands of families struggle under the record-high inflation, which President Trump has strongly criticized.
During his Save America rally in Wilmington, North Carolina, Friday, President Trump condemned Biden’s failed economic policies, listing items that have risen immensely due to “Bidenflation,” RSBN reported.
“Since I left office, the price of electricity is up 19 percent,” Trump said, adding that gas rose “81 percent” and milk rose by 22 percent.
While the crowds booed at the soaring prices, supporters broke out in cheers and applause as Trump hinted at another presidential bid, per RSBN.
“I ran twice, I won twice, and I did much better the second time than I did the first, getting many millions more votes,” Trump said as “USA” chants filled the venue.
