Trump EPA moves to reclaim Biden’s $20 billion ‘green slush fund’

In a bid to reclaim the $20 billion for green grantmaking under the Biden Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), President Trump’s new EPA Administrator, Lee Zeldin, and his agency are working hard to reassume control of funding.

RSBN reported that on Tuesday morning, President Trump made sweeping changes related to “common sense” at the Environmental Protection Agency. According to RSBN, President Trump had written that he had instructed Zeldin to “go back to the common sense standards on LIGHTBULBS, that were put in place by the Trump Administration, but terminated by Crooked Joe. I look forward to signing these Orders. THANK YOU!!!”

On Wednesday night, Zeldin announced that his agency is working hard to carry out President Trump’s orders to resume control of the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF). This massive spending program was designed to provide money for coalitions of green groups to fund green projects. Zeldin and his team will review how and where the program money was while recovering $20 billion in wasted spending.

In a statement shared on X, he said, “One of my very top priorities at EPA is to be an excellent steward of your hard-earned tax dollars. There will be zero tolerance of any waste and abuse,” and warned, “We will review every penny that has gone out the door. The days of irresponsibly shoveling boat loads of cash to far-left activist groups in the name of environmental justice and climate equity are over.”

According to the Daily Caller, at least three of the eight organizations that were selected as awardees for the GGRF were full of Democrat Party insiders. In the final days of the Biden Administration, a right-wing activist group called Project Veritas had published secretly recorded footage of a Biden EPA appointee claiming the EPA was “tossing gold bars off the Titanic” before President Trump came to curb excessive government spending.

But, Zeldin and his team have worked hard to recover that $20 billion of “gold bars,” and in an update on X, Zeldin announced, “BIG UPDATE! We found the gold bars, and they are now being recovered for you, the hardworking American taxpayer.”

It is clear that Zeldin and his agency are well on the way to reversing Biden’s costly environmental orders.
