President Donald Trump’s Monday interview in Chicago with Bloomberg editor-in-chief John Micklethwait was certainly one for the history books. As his campaign said after the event, the 45th president “put on a masterclass,” all while facing a hostile interviewer.

In several Truth Social posts, Trump shared feedback from viewers who pointed out his unshakable dominance throughout the entirety of the interview.

Trump retruthed America First Legal Founder Stephen Miller’s post on Truth Social, which said, “President Trump’s Bloomberg interview at the Economic Club of Chicago was the greatest live interview any political leader or politician has done on the economy in our lifetimes. Period.”

He shared a post on X, formerly Twitter, from author and Washington Times columnist Tim Murtaugh, who emphatically wrote, “There is no universe in which Kamala Harris could handle this interview with Bloomberg News at the Economic Club of Chicago. None. And Donald Trump is owning it.”

Trump posted another X post from an ultra-popular account called johnny maga.

“Trump’s interview at the Economic Club of Chicago was something only he could’ve done. He walked into a completely hostile environment — which Kamala declined to attend— destroyed the neoliberal, corporatist interviewer and even won over the crowd. 60 minutes of dominance,” he wrote.

Realignment podcast’s Saagar Enjeti relished in Trump’s on-point explanation of tariffs and the Federal Reserve.

“I could watch a million videos of a rich Brit who runs Bloomberg getting told off about tariffs and the Fed,” Enjeti wrote.

Trump also shared Indiana Republican Rep. Jim Banks’ analysis of the wild interview.

“President Trump’s economic plan is very simple: if you make your product in America and hire American workers, you pay no tariff. He did terrific today in Chicago and the audience loved his answers!” Banks wrote.

Perhaps one of the most significant moments of the interview was when Trump prompted an eruption of laughter from the crowd called out Micklethwait on tariffs.

Micklethwait told Trump, “Yes, you’re gonna find some people who will gain from individual tariffs. The overall effect could be massive to the economy.”

Trump then responded, “I agree. I agree. It’s gonna have a massive effect. Positive effect. I know how committed you are to this and it must be hard for you to spend 25 years talking about tariffs being negative, and then have somebody explain to you that you’re totally wrong.”
