President Donald Trump’s X Spaces interview with X owner Elon Musk surpassed over one billion views within just a few hours of the live broadcast on Monday evening.
The conversation Trump dubbed the “interview of the century” also reached more than 73 million live views despite over 30 minutes of delays due to cyberattacks.
“Combined views of the conversation with @realDonaldTrump and subsequent discussion by other accounts now ~1 billion,” Musk posted to X
The full interview remains available on X, including over an hour of content on a wide range of political and personal issues.
Numerous clips from the interview are also receiving strong attention across the X platform, including portions of the opening discussion that focused on Trump’s thoughts on the assassination attempt against him in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July.
“One of the miracles was that nobody ran,” Trump stated.
“For those people that don’t believe in God, I think we all have to start thinking about that,” he also said concerning how close the shooter’s bullet came to ending his life.
Trump also highlighted his positive vision for America, arguing that Washington is currently led by “incompetent people.”
“People want the American Dream back more than anything else. You don’t have that today because the people running our country just suck — they’re incompetent people,” he said.
Trump also focused on the top concern of many voters, addressing the nation’s high inflation rates that have impacted the economy.
“The election is coming up and people want to hear about the economy. Food prices are up…and this stupid administration allowed this to happen,” Trump said. “And it’s a shame. And that’s the thing people most care about in my opinion.”
Despite the popularity of the message, some opponents also sought to block the event from taking place. Musk apologized at the start of the delayed interview over the situation.
“As this massive attack illustrates, there’s a lot of opposition to people just hearing what President Trump has to say,” Musk said.
